What's it for?
This tells us how much cage you actually need — and whether it has to be certified.
- Rallycross cars built after 2006 require at least JPC4; stage rally cars built after 2006 require at least JPC4.5 (MSUK regulations).
- Half cages & dash-dodgers are generally for track use and lower-level events (targa, hillclimb, sprints) that don't require a full cage.
- For road cars we'd usually steer you away from a full cage — without a helmet, exposed cage bars can be a safety risk, so a half cage or bolt-in is normally the better road choice.

We homologate the cage. Needed if you’re running outside UK championships, an event has its own requirements, or the build sits outside normal Blue Book regs — T45 being the usual reason. A CDS cage to the standard layout in the regs doesn’t need it.
